To handle your sources effectively, you’ll need to export your bibliography file from your preferred reference manager (like Endnote, Mendeley, or Paperpile). After exporting, import the file into your LaTeX writing tool. In my experience, integrating Mendeley with my Overlay account was seamless, as it automatically synchronized my library. I also utilized Mendeley’s DOI Search feature to update bibliographic details, which synchronized directly with Overleaf. However, I encountered an issue where LaTeX did not correctly interpret tags specifying when species names should be italicized in the headings.

We wanted to alter the order of my chapters at a certain point.
